Facial Chin Implant / Augmentation: Case 1 (20741)

Description

This 42 year old woman saw Dr. Graham to discuss her options for improving her chin and neck profile. We discussed options for chin enhancement with silicone chin implant, injectable filler and fat grafting. We suggested suction lipectomy (liposuction) under the chin to improve her profile and definition. She was in good general health and normal body weight. She chose to use her own fat to enhance her chin and the reduction of fat under the chin. The procedures were performed under anesthesia in our accredited surgical facility. Thirty-five milliliters of fat was removed under the chin. Eight milliliters of her processed fat were used in the marionette grooves, the lateral chin and the anterior chin pad. Initial swelling and mild discoloration resolved. The techniques combined have given her attractive chin projection (her profile), a better defined jawline, and better contours below the corners of her mouth.
